Overview
3 Star, Superior Tourist Class Traditional Hotel
The hotel is situated on a tree-lined terrace in Bayswater between Queensway and Lancaster Gate underground stations. It is fifty yards from Hyde Park and closed to the West End.
The bedrooms are small but functional and in good condition. They are decorated in blues and creams, with classic light wood furniture. The bathrooms are also in good condition.
The restaurant is a key feature of this hotel, having plenty of ornate period features, large windows and in superb decorative condition. The unusual shape of the restaurant along with the fire place gives diners a feeling of privacy and intimacy. The restaurant is proud of it's extensive breakfast choice, well above most 3 star hotels in London.
The hotel is made up of several Victorian townhouses dating back to 1860. The small lobby is elegant and comfortable, decorated in rich greens with marble floors and dark wood panelling. It has a small seating area, however there is further seating in the adjoining bar area.
This is probably one of the nicest 3 star hotels in the area. The hotel is a small, traditional property but cosy and of very good standards, situated in the heart of London.
